Celebrating Women In Science: Samantha Lunn Inspiring Journey At Palintest

I began my journey with Palintest as an Innovation Scientist in February 2018, fresh from completing my Ph.D. in Chemistry at Newcastle University. The experience and knowledge gained during my doctoral studies laid the foundation for an exciting career path here.

In January 2021, I proudly accepted the role of Product Development Manager for sensors. Leading a team dedicated to creating innovative sensors for measuring disinfection chemicals and heavy metals in water has been a fulfilling challenge. It’s incredible to be part of a team that contributes to safeguarding water globally, aligning with our purpose at Palintest.

Being the only female member of the technical department and achieving a management position is an honor. This journey has not only allowed me to contribute to cutting-edge projects but has also opened doors to unique opportunities. From traveling to China for customer trials, visiting several states in the US to connect with customers, to participating in an outreach program in Ghana with our parent company, Halma, the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

At Palintest, diversity is celebrated, and I’m proud to be part of the DE&I group. As a representative for women in science, I hope to inspire others to pursue careers in the field. Every day, I’m reminded of the impact our work has globally, and it’s a privilege to be at the forefront of such meaningful initiatives.
