GET READY TO ROCK WITH DAISY CHAIN

Award-winning North East-based charity Daisy Chain is thrilled to be staging its second full-service user musical, School of Rock, at The Princess Alexandra Auditorium at Yarm School 8th-10th April 2024!

As part of the organisation’s Rising Stars Project, funded by the ScottishPower Foundation, a cast of autistic and neurodivergent young people and adults will take to the stage to showcase their talents, from singing and acting to dancing and comedy, in the well-known Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, School of Rock.

Head of Children’s Services, Jennifer Hewitt said: “The funding we have received from the ScottishPower Foundation has enabled us to create an inclusive platform where autistic and neurodivergent individuals can shine brightly on stage.

“School of Rock isn’t just a musical; it’s a celebration of diversity, talent, and the boundless potential within each of us. Through this production, we are not only showcasing their remarkable abilities but also breaking down barriers, fostering understanding, and inspiring audiences to embrace the beauty of differences.”
