Midas Cladding is a company started in Teesside in 1994 and has been employing local personnel since its incorporation. The Directors and Senior Management Team are passionate and committed to ensuring employment opportunities are available to the local community. Midas are cladding and roofing specialists’ and our expertise extend beyond cladding to façade systems inclusive of curtain walling, fenestration, glazing and external/internal furnishings including personnel, roller shutter and specialist doors.
We continually invest in our people to ensure they are highly skilled, healthy and happy and over the last few years, through the covid pandemic, we have doubled our efforts in this regard to ensure we look after the core of our business throughout these challenging times. The company is continuing to advertise opportunities to the local labour market and a number of senior members of the Midas site and office teams have been employed in the business 20years and over.
Since late 2022, Midas is also working in Partnership with Middlesbrough College to help extend employment opportunities with Midas to the local area through the creation of Midas Skills Academy. The scheme is intended to have two benefits to Midas by creating new job opportunities with the company with cladding specific training provided whilst also supporting Midas in ‘upskilling’ existing employees of the workforce, to also allow for further role creation opportunities. By working in tandem with Middlesbrough College in creating the course outline as well as practical training rigs numerous courses will have been completed in 2024 and will continue through 2025 meaning Midas will be able to continually recruit within the local area.
Midas sustained strategic growth over the last couple of years with turnover for this year expected to exceed £11million. The focus of Midas senior management is to sustain controlled growth with works based in and around the Teesside area being a target to ensure the successes of Midas and the team can be re-invested back into the local area.
