MMC Research, a leading market research and behavioural insights agency founded in Sunderland, has announced the opening of its first London hub.

This strategic expansion is part of MMC’s ongoing efforts to enhance its services and be closer to clients in the Private Equity, SaaS and Pharma sectors. It also strengthens its overall presence in the Southeast as a leader in research and insights and an employer of choice.

The hub formalises the involvement of Alice Broomhall as a key figure of expansion in the capital. Since joining MMC in 2021, Alice has played a crucial role in driving the company’s service delivery outside of the agency’s North East home.

Based in London, Alice will be a key part of MMC’s growing client relationships and project delivery in the South East. With her on the ground in London, MMC’s move to formalise a hub office in the city is a natural next step. The agency aims to drive an additional £100,000 in revenue from the London hub over the next 12 months.

This expansion also has personal significance for MMC’s founder, Natasha McDonough. Originally from London, Natasha relocated to the North East 17 years ago and has since built a thriving business in Sunderland. She said: “It feels great to establish a base in my home city while continuing to expand MMC’s reach in London. We’ve been spending more time on projects in London over the past year in particular, and with Alice already based there, it made sense to solidify our offering,” said Natasha.

“We’re transparent about this being a hub, as we champion remote working and flexibility, but having a formal presence in London enables us to better serve our growing client base and provides a central space to collaborate from for myself, Alice and future MMC recruits in the city!”

The London hub will allow MMC to build stronger relationships with clients in the Private Equity and SaaS sectors, where the company has been making great strides, with VC organisations such as Perwyn and Silvertree already working with MMC.

As part of this exciting expansion, MMC is also proud to join the London Chamber of Commerce. Natasha is the current Vice President of the North East Chamber of Commerce and is looking forward to strengthening MMC’s ties with London’s business community.

She explained: “We’re thrilled to be part of the London Chamber and are excited to attend next year’s British Chambers of Commerce event again to network with other regional and global Chambers. It will be a fantastic opportunity to spend more time with my Chamber colleagues and build further connections in the capital.”

This new chapter marks an exciting time for MMC as the company continues to grow its team and footprint across the UK, with team members now based in Manchester and London, in addition to the Sunderland HQ. The London hub is a crucial step in formalising MMC’s position as a key player in the market research industry, both regionally and nationally.
