UKSE Centre is new home for growing Kill Line Pest Control
A growing pest control company – the only one in the region to provide a specialist recovery service for bees – has moved into larger premises at the UKSE Innovation Centre in Redcar.
Kill Line Pest Control, set up by Sean Mooney, now covers a wide area including Tees Valley, North Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear and County Durham with a team that boasts a combined total of 80 years expertise in the sector.
The company’s new base at the Innovation Centre on the Kirkleatham Business Park, operated by Tata Steel business-support subsidiary UKSE, gives Kill Line the office and storage space it needs to continue expanding.
“We are currently looking to grow our existing three-strong team with additional controllers and a Commercial Contracts Manager,” said Sean. “The commercial side of the business is growing particularly strongly alongside the domestic demand and we deal with every pest from rats, mice, pigeons, seagulls and wasps to ants, moles, beetles and bed bugs.
“We are the only firm in the area to provide a full specialist extraction service for bees from providing any scaffolding needed to removing them safely to suitable hives.
“Our 24 hour rapid response covers all our pest control services and we pride ourselves on following the latest, most ethical and humane methods to protect the client and the environment.”
Some areas are suffering from a 20- year high in the number of problems with rats and rodents.
“These vermin can prove a real hazard to many businesses,” says Sean, who previously worked as a farrier, “and we are supporting companies involved in everything from engineering and shipping to retail and hospitality.
“Our premises and the facilities at the Innovation Centre are great and just what we needed to continue our expansion. The UKSE team has been very supportive and are always on-site to help with anything.”
Diane Parker, UKSE Administrator, said: “Sean and his team have joined a friendly and supportive community with around 50 businesses based here operating in sectors from engineering to software.
“Our aim, both here and at our Centre in Hartlepool, is to support them with facilities from meeting rooms and a reception area to 24 hour access, free parking and high speed broadband.
“It is also very reassuring for us to know that we now have one of the leading pest control services right here should we ever need them!”
